Shipping and Quality Control

Setting up your quality control and shipping stations.

Fulfill Engine tracks quality control per facility and each operator within that facility.

If the order only contains a single item, the system will automatically generate a shipping label when the item's QR code is scanned.

If the order contains additional items, which could include print on-demand, or print-and-pack inventory, the system will prompt the operator with the next steps for the order. Utilizing Fulfill Engines binning and warehouse inventory system.

If the order is set to pickup, instead of a shipping label, a pickup slip will be printed calling out that it is "Order Pickup" as well as;

  • Order Number
  • Store Name
  • Pickup Name
  • Any variable data (if applicable)
    • for example - a student's name is required at checkout

Automatic Label Printing

For automatic label printing, a Windows machine must be used.

Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
> Note: This x86 version is required, even on 64 bit computers

After installing the prerequisite above, download the Fulfill Engine installer and run the installer choosing to install the "Hot Folder Printing App."

Within the app, open File > Settings to customize settings. Then set the “Folder to watch” to your PCs download folder.

Once set up, when a QR code is scanned, the app will notice when a shipping label is downloaded to the PC download folder and automatically print it.

Setting up Bins

If your warehouse operates with a single size of shipping holding bins, no action is needed to set up!

However, if you wish the system to reflect various sizes of holding bins within shipping, reach out to your onboarding representative or info@fulfillengine.com to confirm the number of bins you have and their correlating sizes.

We will need you to confirm the weight at which an order would move to the next size up.

Our system will automatically label the bins by size.

You have the option as to how you would like the bins formatted. Either by size and number within that size, or size and continuation of the number count.

Example: If you have (2) small bins, and (3) medium bins our system would prompt the operator to put an order into one of (5) locations;

Option 1: Small 1, Small 2, Medium 3, Medium 4, Medium 5
Option 2: Small 1, Small 2, Medium 1, Medium 2, Medium 3

Most Warehouses operate their holding bins within shipping as option 1 to avoid any confusion.

Once an order has shipped, the system will clear that bin location and make it available for the next order that needs to be held.
