November 2025 - Special Pricing Updates
Read on for important pricing updates that may affect store products
Upcoming Pricing Updates – November 2025
By the end of November 2025, two new pricing features will go live across all sales portals:
-
Product-Level Customization Fees (launching November 19, 2025)
-
Item Cost Calculations (launching soon)
These changes are being released ahead of a larger pricing update planned for January 2026. The November updates are designed to help store owners and admins prepare for the upcoming transition away from account-level customization fees on fixed sales price products.
1. Product-Level Customization Fees
The Product-Level Customization Fee feature allows store owners and admins to assign customization fees directly at the product level.
This update offers flexibility in how customizations affect retail pricing — especially for products set with a fixed sales price.
Why this change is happening
Starting in January 2026, customization fees from account-level price sheets will no longer apply to fixed sales price products.
Only surcharges will continue to be honored at the account level.
The early release of product-level customization fees gives store owners time to review their fixed sales price items and apply their own customization charges as needed, ensuring continuity in pricing once the broader January update goes live.
Admin note: This change doesn’t affect what the account is billed for customizations — it only affects how customization costs are passed through to customers via store pricing.
How it works
-
The product-level customization fee is added to the sales price when a shopper selects a customization.
-
It overrides the pricing behavior that would otherwise come from the account-level price sheet.
-
You or your store owners can configure these fees when adjusting the Sales Price Markup for any fixed sales price product.
Example:
Price-sheet customization fee = $8 per customization
DTF = $6.50 per locationFixed sales price = $20
Product-level single (flat) customization fee = $5
![]()
Store sales price:
$20 base fixed sales price + $8 flat customization fee = $28 totalAccount decoration costs:
$6.50 (front DTF) + $8 (name) + $8 (number) = $22.50 total
This setup ensures profit margins remain stable when account-level customization fees are removed from fixed sales price products in January.
Recommended Admin Actions
-
Notify store owners of the new option to add product-level customization fees.
-
Audit fixed sales price products across your stores — identify any that currently rely on account-level customization fees.
-
Encourage updates now so pricing remains accurate once the January changes take effect.
2. Item Cost Calculations
The new Item Cost Calculation enhancement provides a more transparent view of how pricing affects profitability across stores.
Key Improvements
-
Item cost now automatically includes all relevant account-level fees associated with the item.
-
It dynamically updates as a store’s sales price changes.
-
When no sales price is set, the system displays a predicted breakeven point where if sales price = item cost then profit = $0
This enhancement is informational only and does not affect how stores are charged — it’s a visibility improvement to support better pricing decisions.
3. What’s Coming in January 2026
In January, we'll roll out the remaining pricing updates:
-
Removal of account-level customization fees from all fixed sales price products
-
Additional refinements to customization pricing models for variable-price stores
A full update and support documentation will be shared ahead of that release.
Summary of Next Steps
